Kia PV5 Rebate Questions
Does the Kia PV5 qualify for Canada's EV rebate?
It does. Transport Canada's EVAP list names 2 Kia PV5 trims. At $46,995, the 2027 PV5 Basic receives a $5,000 dealer deduction if its final price before tax is $50,000 or less.
What is the Kia PV5 price after rebates in each province?
Quebec adds $2,000 in savings, reducing the price to $39,995. Manitoba adds $4,000, bringing it to $37,995. In all other locations, only the federal rebate applies, so the 2027 PV5 Basic costs $41,995.
What happens to the Kia PV5 price on January 1, 2027?
On that date, EVAP drops to $4,000. The 2027 PV5 Basic then costs $42,995, compared with $41,995 in 2026. Your dealer's rebate claim year determines the amount, not the delivery date.
Can a leased Kia PV5 still qualify for the rebate?
It qualifies. A lease lasting 48 months or more earns the full $5,000. Shorter leases earn $3,750 at 36 months, $2,500 at 24 months, and $1,250 at 12 months. The dealer subtracts the rebate from a lease just as it does from a purchase.
