How the federal rebate works
- Price limit: $50,000 before tax, and no limit applies to a car built in Canada.
- Country of origin: Canada, or a nation covered by a trade agreement with Canada.
- At a dealer enrolled in the program, sign one consent form to claim it. The dealer subtracts the rebate from the bill.
- Leases: the full amount when the term runs 48 months (4 years) or longer.
- Per person: you can get a single rebate.

In Quebec the price drops $2,000 more, to $32,999; in Manitoba it drops $4,000 more, to $30,999. In all other places, the federal rebate on its own takes the 2027 Bolt LT down to $34,999.

On that day EVAP drops to $4,000, so the 2027 Bolt LT price becomes $35,999, compared with $34,999 in 2026. Which rebate amount applies depends on the year the dealer files the claim, not on the day you take delivery.
