Volkswagen ID.4 Rebate Questions
Does the Volkswagen ID.4 meet the eligibility rules for Canada's EV rebate?
It is. One Volkswagen ID.4 trim appears on Transport Canada's EVAP list. The dealer deducts $5,000 from the 2025 ID.4 Base, which costs $48,495. This applies if the final price before tax is $50,000 or less.
What is the Volkswagen ID.4 price after rebates in each province?
Quebec takes another $2,000 off, for $41,495, and Manitoba takes another $4,000 off, for $39,495. In every other location, the 2025 ID.4 Base costs $43,495 with the federal rebate alone.
What effect does January 1, 2027 have on the Volkswagen ID.4 price?
On that date, EVAP falls to $4,000, raising the 2025 ID.4 Base price from $43,495 in 2026 to $44,495. Your dealer files the rebate claim in a year, and that year determines the amount, rather than your delivery date.
Does a lease of the Volkswagen ID.4 continue to earn the rebate?
It is. For a 48-month lease or longer, the full $5,000 is earned. Shorter leases earn $3,750 for 36 months, $2,500 for 24 months, and $1,250 for 12 months. The dealer deducts it the same way as on a purchase.
